PS

I just realized that I posted pictures of the mural I painted without having told what it was. DUH! I painted a mural on the nursery wall of my sister's boyfriend's cousin (6 degrees of hawleywood...try it out). She had seen a picture in a magazine of some celebrity's nursery that had a similar mural, only the celebrity's tree was not nearly as cute as mine (if I do say so myself). I didn't get any close-ups, unfortunately, but hopefully I can get some soon. The tree has small pink leaves, blossoms, and a butterfly and a dragonfly zooming around in the branches. The client also requested that I paint her daughter's name with a green ribbon around it, a la another picture she'd seen in a magazine. The whole room is just adorable, and I'm so excited for them!

I also made a fabulous new necklace for hawleywood, and I'll be crafting, mailing orders (because PS I totally sold another ring!), and adding some items to my Etsy store.

HOLLER!

Finally!

Here are the pictures of the finished projects! The first is of that ugly yellow-green-brown table that is now a lovely shade of grey. It's the perfect size to fit in between our ginormous overstuffed yard sale furniture. The lamp is also a redo--it was beige with some 70s gold accents. Not cute. I painted it and added a nice drum shade, and VOILA! Gorgeous.

Below is the cabinet-cum-nightstand, with its new coats of paint. Love it! It's the perfect size for my huge CD player alarm clock (which stays until I get an iPod alarm clock), Pottery Barn outlet lamp (love it!), and of course my 8 billion candles that I cannot live without. Plus my tissues since I'm constantly sick and a huge sand dollar that Nick gave me.

The best part is that I also use it as a linen closet!!! Now we actually have room in our bathroom closet for our towels. YESSSS!! Please notice the lovely cream shade (called Innocence--best name ever) on the interior of the nightstand/linen closet. The knobs are also pretty sweet--they were 99 cents at Home Depot and they have this great texture on them. Fab.

I took a picture of the interior of the top drawer just for fun. Plus to show off all the storage! Yes, I do keep needlework in my bedside table. I'm like a grandma. It's fine.

I hope you enjoyed my furniture UPGRADES!!

Mural: Completed

And here it is!

It's a little fuzzy in this picture, but you get the gist...

Here's the other wall:

Treasure! Arrrggghh!!

I was just featured in a treasury for the first time! Yay me! Well, not really me, but a necklace I made. You can see the treasury here, and my shop here. Also, I sold a ring this week, so that brings my total sales up to 5. Woo hoo! I've also been working on some new pieces and putting together a bead order, so more lovelies will be posted soon.

Off I go...time to work on a mural for a nursery wall. I'll post pics when it's done.

As promised...pics from my entry into Apartment Therapy's JUST DO IT!

These are just the "before" pictures. I haven't gotten home in time to have enough daylight left to get good pics of the "after," but trust me, they're coming!

Anyhooters, I just found out my FAVORITE cousin is on Twitter and she has the best name ever! Mindtheunitard. Love it.

Without further ado, here are the before pics:
